Completely loving Nicola Slattery's new piece'' Girl with tulips'' in Acrylics inspired by the Dutch masters such as Vermeer. she writes "Girl with Tulips" is a recent painting using acrylics on wood. I have always admired the Dutch masters, especially Vermeer. Perhaps my painting is a sort of homage to them. I especially like the dark interiors and illuminated features which glow against the darkness.
I wonder if Vermeer were alive today he might give acrylics a try?
